The senate has formally approved the
appointment of new two Justices of the Supreme Court.
They are Justice Clara Bata Ogunbiyi from North East and Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammed from North Central.
Correspondent Tijani Yinusa reports that their confirmation by the Upper Chamber followed the approval of the recommendations of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters headed by Senator Umaru Dahiru which had earlier screened them.
Presenting the report, senator Dahiru said the two top legal officers performed well during the screening exercise hence the reason for the recommendation for their confirmation.
