Worried by reported cases of reckless
driving and other traffic offenses by motorists in Abuja, the FCT
Administration has established Mobile Courts to prosecute violators of traffic
rules at designated areas.
The FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed made this known at the weekend, while reviewing traffic situation in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Minister however said the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) has been coordinating regular sitting of the Mobile Courts for the purpose of prosecuting traffic offenders, revealing that within a period of one month the Mobile Courts have prosecuted 48 traffic offenders
Some of the Mobile Courts according to the Minister include: the ones sitting at the Games Villages, Area One under Bridge, Maitama Junction, Dei-Dei Junction, Kubwa Junction, Bwari Junction, Dutse Alhaji Junction and Gwagwalada by Giri Junction.
