Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola says the state government has awarded 128 Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in the state with the sum of two million naira each towards the development of their schools.
Fashola at the second Governor’s Education Award in Ikeja also announced international training for principals of the best Junior and Secondary schools for the year.
The governor also announced that he has given directive to theMinistry of Education to recruit additional 1,200 teachers to replace those that has left adding that 650 Sanitation Managers have been employed to take care of sanitation in schools across the state.
Earlier, the Eko Project Co-ordinator and Special Adviser to the governor on Education, Ronke Azeez said with the award, the state is on a journey towards educational development with the government, schools, parents and students pursuing one goal, one vision.
