OYO TO CREATE LCDAs--AJIMOBI

Apparently following the lagos example, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state has promised to create Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) to bring development closer to the people.
Though not timed, ajimobi said LCDAs would be created to ensure that all areas feel the presence of government and are well manned.
Ajimobi who declared this in Oyo township reiterated his resolve to build modern markets in all major towns in the state.
Senator ajimobi hinted that the state has furhter strenghtened the capacity of its anti-crime outfit codenamed 'Operation Burst' with the procurement of 66 new patrol vans
Governor Abiola Ajimobi while reacting to questions at a Town Hall Meeting at Durbar Stadium, Oyo hinted that arrangements had been concluded for the launch of the state Security Trust Fund  to create a pool of funds that would be channeled towards enhancing the security of lives and property of the people of the state.
Earlier, the governor commissioned 15 cars bought by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III for the Oyomesis (Alaafin-in-Council) where he acknowledged the royal father’s unflinching support for his administration, pledging that he would also reciprocate by attending to the welfare of the monarch and his subjects.
The Alaafin had, earlier in his remarks, asked the governor to attend to the fledging insecurity owing to the menace of the Fulani herdsmen in rural communities, a development which he said had resulted in the death of some farmers while several others had fled their farms.
