Patience Jonathan and others to be sworn in as Permanent Secretaries.

Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson would on Friday this week swear in the wife of President Goodluck Jonathan,Patience and 18 others as new Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State Civil Service.

Arrangements are in top gear for the visit of the First Lady for the much awaited inauguration.

The President Wife and others are expected to be swear in at the banquet hall, Government House.

Also to be sworn in include the wife of the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Linnet Tebepah.

Our correspondent report that the announcement of Mrs.Patience as Permanent Secretary in the state generated negative criticisms across the nation, as most Nigerians flayed her appointment describing it as ill-timed and abuse of power

Meanwhile the Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has justified the appointment  of  Patience Jonathan as Permanent Secretary ,arguing that she was promoted  to  a director level  in 2005.

Dickson, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said the constitutional power vested on him necessitated the appointment of Patience.

Dickson argued that some of Patience’s juniors in the state civil service had since been promoted as Permanent Secretaries in the service.
