President Jonathan Directs That Ribadu Committee Report Be Submitted At Presidential Villa On Friday



In the wake of the debate generated by leaked portions of the Nuhu Ribadu led Petroleum Revenue Special Task Force in the media President Goodluck Jonathan has directed that a comprehensive report of the body should be presented to him this week. 

A statement from the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati explains that this is in furtherance of the Jonathan administration’s commitment to transparency, probity, and accountability in the petroleum sector

The Committee which was set up in February 2012, was required to, among other tasks, determine and verify all petroleum upstream and downstream revenues such as taxes and royalties due and payable to the Federal Government of Nigeria,

The Task Force is also required to take all necessary steps to collect all debts due and owed as well as  obtain agreements and enforce payment terms by all oil industry operators.


The statement revealed that the presentation of the Committee’s report will take place at the State House, Abuja, on Friday, 2nd of November
