President Goodluck Jonathan visit flood victims in Bayelsa state,



 President Goodluck Jonathan says the major challenge of the flood is the fear of epidemic and the outbreak of other water-borne diseases that may occur after the flood,

President Jonathan came out with this while addressing some displaced persons at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in  Yenagoa.Bayelsa State.

The President assures the displaced persons that the Federal Government,State and the International Community would assist in alleviating the sufferings of the people.

He said Churches and Civil Society groups would be contacted to also assist the flood victims.

In his remark,the Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson thanked the President for his assistance to the affected states.

Dickson assures the displaced persons of governmemt commitment to their plight saying that government is working hard to ensure it meet up with their challenges.

 Five persons have died while over Ten thousand persons has been displaced by the flood in Bayelsa
