A Federal
High Court in Abuja has declined the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's
request for a court summon of the Ijaw Leader and former Information Minister,
Chief Edwin Clark.
The EFCC had
prayed the court to summon the elder statesman over his call for the sack of
the EFCC boss.
Justice
Kolawole stated that Clark is neither a party nor counsel in the matter before
him for the oral application to be granted, adding that the commission is at
liberty to file formal application to summon Clark before the court.
