The Joint
Military Taskforce in Niger Delta says ten crew members arrested on board of
two vessels on the coast of Bonny in Rivers State for illegal oil bunkering are
now facing interrogation.
The
Commanding officer of the Joint Military Taskforce Operation Puolo Shield in
the Niger Delta Brigadier General Tukur Burutai said the vessels MT Theresa
Lagos and MT Beco Peter were intercepted while trying to load substance
suspected to be illegally processed crude oil.
Brigadier
General Tukur Burutai represented by the chief of staff two Brigade Nigeria
Army Colonel Gold Ndubuisi told journalists that the two vessels were arrested
on the 17th and 18th of this month.
