NNPC Injects Over Two Hundred Million Litres Of Petrol Into Market For Easter
In a bid to ensure a hitch free Easter celebration across the Nation, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and its downstream subsidiary the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, PPMC, has injected almost three hundred million litres of premium motor spirit otherwise called petrol into filling stations across the country.
Also, major and Independent Marketers are scheduled to in additional supply over one hundred and forty two million litres into the system.
The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Ohi Alegbe, said that the NNPC, Major Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, Nigeria Independent Petroleum Company, NIPCO, and all other importers of petroleum products are all trucking out petrol from their various marine and inland depots to stabilize the situation.
According to him, there is approximately seventeen days PMS national sufficiency at forty million litres per day consumption saying efforts is on to build up the stock to guarantee energy sufficiency for the country.
He assured that the NNPC is collaborating with other stakeholders to restore normalcy to the fuel supply situation in the country.
