The Principal of the
Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State, Asabe Kwambura, says
two hundred and thirty four students were abducted last Monday and not one
hundred and thirty as earlier reported.
She told BBC that the
parents of the girls reported them missing but forty three of them had managed
to escape.
Borno State Governor, Kashim
Shettima, who visited Chibok yesterday said eight more girls managed to escape
over the weekend.
It is believed that Boko
Haram members abducted the teenage girls and took them to their camp.
