Nigeria Gets First Female President For Court Of Appeal


The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mariam Mukhtar has sworn-in Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa as President of the Court of Appeal making her Nigeria’s first female President of the Appellate court.

Justice Bulkachuwa has however held the position in acting capacity since November twenty thirteen.

The CJN charged the new President of the Court of Appeal to reposition the Court in line with the ongoing reforms in the judiciary.

Justice Bulkachuwa on her part assured of her commitment to the CJN’s fight against corruption in the judiciary.
