Police Advises Citizens To Be Security Conscious During Easter Celebrations

The Police High Command has advised Christians and Muslims in the country to take adequate measures to ensure that fewer vehicles were allowed into churches and mosques during worship.

A statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Frank Mba, in Abuja said that the advice was necessary following recent security challenges in the country and preparation for the Easter celebration.

He said that reducing vehicles in places of worship would make the task of surveillance in those areas easier.

The spokesman also advised that disused vehicles should not be parked within or close to those premises, adding that vehicles parked overnight should be vetted and identified.

He also advised operators of motor parks, shopping malls and recreational centres to work closely with security agencies as they strive to strengthen general security in their respective facilities.
