Stakeholders Commends President Goodluck on Commissioning of Onitsha Sea Port


Stakeholders in the South East have commended the Federal Government effort in completing and commissioning Onitsha sea port.

They are of the view that the port now makes River Niger navigable and will now create new investment opportunities for the South East and South South ge o-political region.
The Minister for Transport, Senator Idris Umar said the dredging of River Niger did not just open up its Channel, but as well unwrapped a world of new economic activities and investment opportunities. He said the port is now completely overhauled re equipped and now open for business.

The commissioning exercise is about to be done, by the President and Commander in Chief of the Arm forces, Goodluck Jonathan Ebele Azikiwe.
