FG Vows To Enforce Expatriate Quota Law



The Federal Government has assured that the expatriate quota law will be fully enforced to ensure that Nigerians are denied employment.

Interior Minister, Abba Moro who gave the assurance in Lagos at the opening of a two-day conference on Expatriate Quota Administration in Nigeria said the government would no longer allow further abuse of the law.

For his part, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu called for value change among the people to achieve effective service delivery in the country.

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Labour, Wilson Asinobi Ake said there is need for punitive measure to tackle the abuse of the expatriate quota.

Correspondence Sulaymon Abdulkareem reports that the two day conference is meant draw up policy that would the expatriate quota system more effective in Nigeria.
