EKWEREMADU CALLS FOR PRAYERS FOR A SUCSESSFUL CONSTITUTION AMENDMENT PROJECT AS MUSLIMSMARK EID-EL-FITR WORLDWIDE



The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu has called on the Muslim umah to offer prayers for the success of the constitution review project towards the peace, security, and prosperity of the nation.

This was contained in his goodwill message to the Muslim umah on the occasion of Eid El-Fitri, marking the end of a month long fasting by the Muslim umah.

Senator Ekweremadu who enjoined the Muslim Umah to be guided by the lessons and spirituality garnered during the holy month of Ramadan, said restoring lasting peace and security remained the greatest challenge facing every Nigerian, irrespective of his or her religion.

The Deputy President of the Senate congratulated the Muslim Umah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and urged all Nigerians to put away past grievances, self and all narrow group interests to put in place a constitution that would stand the test of time and carter for the larger Nigerian interest.
