SENATE MINORITY OPENS ON POOR BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION

The Senate Minority Leader, Senator George Akume has said that member of ACN in both chambers of the National Assembly are not currently part of the ongoing plot to impeach President Goodluck Jonathan over poor budget implementation.

Senator Akume who stated this in a chat with newsmen in Abuja, said the ACN viewed the issue of poor budget performance serious but will await the directive of ACN leadership before taken any action on the matter.

He noted that opposition parties have a role to play in strengthening the nation's democracy adding that it is high time they come together to provide alternative government for Nigerians in the next general elections.

The Senate Minority leader also spoke on the purported move by some senators to remove him as Senate Minority Leader describing it as a mere conspiracy being perpetrated by over ambitious politicians.
