The Federal Government has
released guidelines for the conduct of the National Conference fixed to last
for three months.
Secretary to the
Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim who released the modalities in
Abuja said four hundred and ninety two delegates are expected to be nominated
from January thirty to February twenty.
Those entitled to nominate
the four hundred and ninety delegates according to the SGF include the
President, state and local government, traditional rulers, political parties,
retired civil servants, organised private sector, selected associations and
professional bodies, civil society organizations and other stakeholders in the
relevant field.
He said all matters are up
for discussion except Nigeria's independence at the conference which will take place
in the federal capital territory for a period of three months.
He said Delegates are to
be nominated between January thirty and February twenty.
