PDP Appeal Screening Panel Clears Fintiri To Contest Adamawa Governorship Election

The Governorship Appeal Screening Panel of the Peoples Democratic Party has cleared the Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri, to take part in Saturday’s governorship primary in the state.

Umar Fintiri was cleared yesterday after the appeal panel examined his complain, which he lodged after his disqualification on Saturday by the Screening Committee headed by Ibrahim Mantu.

The Chairman of the eight-man panel, Senator James Manager, told newsmen in Abuja that Umaru Fintiri was free to contest the PDP primaries.

He said his committee had examined the reason giving by the Ibrahim Mantu’s committee, and decided that the reason was not convincing enough.
