African Leaders Must Take Strong Action Against Terrorism In The Continent - President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan has charged African leaders to take action-oriented approach against the activities of terrorists on the continent.

He gave the charge while speaking at the African Union Peace and Security Council meeting in Nairobi, Kenya.

President Jonathan said the AU has what it takes in terms of legal, political and normative instruments to deal with the rising sophistication of terrorists, adding that the task ahead was to ensure the effective use of the instruments.

He regretted the increasing wave of violence perpetrated by Boko Haram, Al Shabbab and Lord Resistance Army on the continent.
