The Rivers State Government has
fixed the sixth of October, twenty fourteen for the resumption of public and
private schools in the state.
The Commissioner for Health,
Doctor Sampson Parker who announced this at a news conference in Port Harcourt
said the new date is to enable the state conclude on the health status of all
those still under surveillance for the Ebola Virus Disease.
He said the health ministry is
working with the Ministry of Education in the state to ensure necessary
measures are put in place in schools before resumption.
