The Supreme Court has affirmed
the election of governor of Anambra state, Willy Obiano.
The apex court held that the
appellants failed to prove various acts of non-compliance they alleged.
Senator Chris Ngige of the APC
and Tony Nwoye of the PDP has asked the Supreme Court to nullify Governor
Obiano’s election on the grounds that there were substantial non-compliance
with the constitution and the Electoral Act.
