Another crisis has hit the
All Progressives Congress, as its chieftain, Tom Ikimi, today,
resigned from the party.
A founder member of APC, Tom
Ikimi, said his resignation takes effect from tomorrow, Wednesday, August 27,
2014.
It will be recalled that Tom
Ikimi has tried unsuccessfully to be the National Chairman of the party in the
last National Convention.
Although it was not clear if he
would join the Peoples Democratic Party, the former Minister of External
affairs, in a statement in Abuja, today, said he was studying the
other political parties in the country.
Former Presidential flag bearer
of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria and a chieftain of the APC, Mallam
Nuhu Ribadu, had also recently decamped to the PDP.
