The new Inspector-General
of Police, Suleiman Abba has said the Federal Government was not behind the
recent bomb attack on former Head of State, retired Major-General Muhammadu
Buhari in Kaduna.
The IGP who held his first
meeting with senior police officers in Abuja said preliminary investigations
could not establish any government complicity.
Suleiman Abba said
policemen have to be drafted to Osun State a week before the governorship
election because of reports of alleged recruitment of armed thugs by some
politicians.
