Governor Al-Makura has
appeared before the seven-man panel investigating the gross misconduct
allegations against by the state lawmakers.
He told the panel members
that he was yet to be served with the impeachment notice.
The governor described the
allegations against him as spurious, adding that he only appeared before the
panel in order to clear his name.
The governor’s lead
counsel, Chief Udechukwu Nnoruka asked the panel to dismiss the case since the
accusers failed to appear to substantiate their allegations.
