The Legal Practitioners
Privileges Committee has awarded the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria to
seventeen lawyers.
The list, which includes a
former Attorney-General of the Federation, Doctor Olu Onagoruwa, was released
after a meeting of the committee at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
Two of the new SANS,
Professor Josiah Amupitan and Olusola Idowu are from the academia.
They would be sworn in on September
twenty second.
Twenty three lawyers,
including Festus Keyamo, were shortlisted for the interview of the prestigious title.
