The Seven-Man Panel set up
by the Acting Chief Judge of Adamawa State to investigate allegations of gross
misconduct against Governor Murtala Nyako has begun sitting in Yola.
Both the governor and his
deputy Bala Ngilari failed to appear before the panel.
It was reported by a
section of the media today that the embattled governor had reached a deal with
the state lawmakers.
Governor Nyako yesterday inaugurated
thirty six administrators for the local government development areas as a way
of pacifying the lawmakers.
