Special Task Force Deploys More Men In Mangor To Restore Villagers Confidence



To restore the confidence of villagers who fled their homes following the attack on MILE 7 village of Mangor district in Bokkos local government area of Plateau state last week, by Fulani herdsmen which led to the death of 18 people, the Special Task force has deployed more men to secure the area.

Special task force, STF, commander, STF commander, Major General Henry Ayoola after assessing the situation in the area appealed to the locals to return to their homes.


He said the STF is making efforts to work on improving on the challenge posed by logistics.

The commissioner of Police, Chris Olakpe who was also at the local chief’s palace offered to train selected youth and members of the vigilante group on intelligence gathering.

Management committee chairman of Bokkos Local government area, Zakka Akos said, a particular settlement has been identified that may be harbouring individuals with questionable characters in the area.

A meeting was held among the major stakeholders in the affected areas as part of measures to seek ways to prevent future attacks.
