Edo Local Government Election Results




Edo State Independent Electoral Commission on Sunday released the fourteen local government chairmanship results held last Saturday in the state.

Nosakhare Uwadiae reports that Action Congress of Nigeria won all the seats.
Chairman of the electoral commission, Mr. Solomon Ogoh announced the results at the EDSIEC headquarters in Benin City about sixteen hours after the election.

In Akoko-Edo local government area, he said ACN scored 41,496, ANPP-582, CPC-42, LP-219, Accord-24, PDP-5,171 and declared Mr. Akerejola Joseph of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.
He said at Egor local government area, ACN scored 10,152, ANPP-133, CPC-57, LP-1,037, Accord-20, PDP-1,951 and declared Hon. Victor Enobakhare of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

Speaking further, he said in Esan South East local government area, ACN scored 14,145, ANPP-11, CPC-10, LP-359, Accord-02, PDP-2,776 and declared Mr. Ikpea Joseph of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

He declared Mr. Momoh Emmanuel of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner in Etsako Central local government area, having scored 9,293, while ANPP-15, CPC-76, LP-80, PDP-4,359.

Mr. Solomon Ogoh said in Etsako East local government area, ACN scored 23,262, ANPP-30, CPC-16, LP-245, Accord-44, PDP-4,281 and declared Mr. Abdulmalik Suleman of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

At Igueben local government area, ACN got a landslide victory over other parties with total scores of 16,298. While PDP came distant second with -1,592 votes. ANPP-04, CPC-02, LP-27, Accord-nil respectively and declared Mr. Julius Asemota of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.
At Orhionmwon local government area, ACN scored 29,059, ANPP-73, CPC-55, LP-64, Accord-05, PDP-5,843 and declared Mr. Roland Ibierutomwen of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

As at the time of filing in this report, other results were yet to be released.
Chairman of the commission, Mr. Solomon Ogoh announced the result at about 08:00pmyesterday at the EDSIEC headquarters in Benin City.
He said in Owan East local government area, ACN scored 19,783, ANPP-50, CPC-78, LP-127, Accord-02, PDP-6,045 and declared Barrister Ijegbai Jimoh of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.
He said in Esan Central local government area, ACN scored 15,153 ANPP-13, CPC-1,759, LP-10, Accord-02, PDP-4,613 and declared Mr. Eromosele Solomon of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

In Uhunmwode local government area, he said ACN scored 12,888, ANPP-dash, CPC-dash, LP-30, Accord-dash, PDP-2,129 and declared Hon. Alari Enoma Roland of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

He said in Owan West local government area, ACN scored 10,503, ANPP-25, CPC-22, LP-174, Accord-02, PDP-7,728 and declared Dr. Godwin Aigbodion of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

Speaking further, he said in Ovia South West local government area, ACN scored 28,505, ANPP-dash, CPC-dash, LP-dash, Accord-dash, PDP-3,830 and declared Mr. Morrison Ogunrobo of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.
He said in Ovia North East local government area, ACN scored 17,238, ANPP-96, CPC-56, LP-391, Accord-109, PDP-2,277and declared Mrs Lucy Omagbon of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

Finally, he said in Etsako West local government area, ACN scored 37,707, ANPP-41, CPC-237, LP-877, Accord-dash, PDP-5,923 and declared Barrister Hassan Kadiri of Action Congress of Nigeria as winner.

MEANWHILE,
Chairman of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr. Solomon Ogoh has cancelled elections in more local government areas.

In a Press Release singed by the Secretary of the electoral commission, MR.S.E Omorodion for the EDSIEC Chairman    indicated that the elections held in Esan West and Esan North East local government areas have been cancelled.

 You will recall  that the electoral commission has on Saturday cancelled elections in Ikpoba-Okha and Oredo local government areas.

The EDSIEC Chairman said elections in Esan West and Esan North East have been rescheduled to hold on Wednesday, 24th April 2013 by 08:00am, adding that elections in Ikpoba-Okha and Oredo local government areas will hold on Thursday 25th April, 2013 by 08:00am.
