Farouk Lawan |
The
leadership of the House of Representatives says its decision to
remove four time lawmaker, Farouk Lawan, as chairman of its Committee on
Education was taken to allow the House discharge its responsibilities without
any moral burden.
Spokesman of the House, Zakari Mohammed, who
revealed this in Abuja, explained that despite his removal Lawan remain
innocent pending the judgement of the court.
Mohammed however remarked that despite repeated
criticism of the House by the public, the parliament was only interested in
exploring all due process in the determination of the case.
