Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola has condemned any
attempt by the Federal Government to
convert the National Theatre into a five star hotel.
Fashola who spoke at the 2nd Lagos Corporate
Assembly held at the Lekki Free Zone in
Ibeju-Lekki said the action will lead to wiping out the historical importance
of the infrastructure.
The governor also stressed the need to allow
private sector management of ports activities in the country.
He however warned all property owners whose
structure had turned hideout to criminal, to develop it or risk losing the
building to the government.
