The Acting
Inspector-General of Police Suleiman Abba, has decentralized the issuance of
tinted glass permit.
He has now delegated the
power to Commissioners of Police in Charge of State Commands so as to bring
services closer to the people.
Such permits have the same
authority as those previously issued by Force Headquarters and are valid
throughout the federation.
However, applicants have
to get their vehicle examined to ascertain the tinted glasses are factory
fitted.
