The South African High
Commissioner to Nigeria, Lulu Mguni has put the number of South African that died
in the Synagogue Church building collapse at eighty four.
He told AFP that the number
could rise because some people organised the trip themselves without using
travel agents.
The diplomat said forensic
tests were being conducted to verify the identities of the dead.
South Africa had sent ten
disaster management personnel, including doctors to help in the rescue
operations.
