PDP Dissociate Itself From Ladoja/Akala 10 Man Committee

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State has disassociated itself from the 10-man committee set up by two former Governors of the state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala and Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja to work out modalities for an alliance saying the duo are merely touting the party’s name in the political agenda to front their own parochial interests and not that of the party.

The on-going political arrangement between the  two former governors saying that the duo have embarked on the scheme for the possibility of their joint return to the Agodi Government House in Ibadan, come 2015.

The checks listed names of some former aides to the ex-governors as foot soldiers in their orchestrated return bid.

However, the PDP in the state, speaking through one of the party leaders, Dare Adeleke declared that the touted inauguration of the proposed committee under the guise of PDP does not have the blessing of the States Executive Committee of the party.

While seeing the motives of the two former governors as self-serving, the party warned Otunba Alao-Akala, in particular, to desist henceforth from using the collective name of the party in the state.

Oyo PDP in further advancing his own personal cause at the expense of the generality of members also accused Alao-Akala of being disrespectful to the party hierarchy in the reconciliatory moves brokered by the national chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur stressing that the foul language reportedly used by Akala against Tukur’s visit to Oyo State was condemnable.
