Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps Apprehends 2 Suspected Pipeline Vandals


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has apprehended two suspected pipeline vandals in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau.

NSCDC commandant in the state, Vincent Bature, said that the command had beefed up surveillance to curb the menace particularly around the NNPC depot in Jos.


The suspects would soon be handed over to the appropriate authority for further investigation.

The commandant said, said that the act of pipeline vandalism had affected the Pumping of Petrol and diesel to Plateau state

He, however, warned the vandals to desist from the act, adding that operatives of the command would always be on ground to curb such illegal activities in the state.

The commandant called on the traditional ruler in Bassa Local Government Area to sensitize his people to the danger inherent in such nefarious activities.


Vincent Bature listed 23 gallons of diesel, four motorcycles, basins and machetes as the items recovered from the suspects.
