Journalists Barred From President Jonathan Meeting With State Governors

President Goodluck Jonathan's meeting scheduled for 9pm on Monday night took off heavily shielded from coverage by the media.

Earlier however 3 Governors: Theodore Orji of Abia, Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta and Ibrahim Shema of Katsina as well as Acting Governor of Taraba Garba Umar met with the President.

These Governors preferred to keep sealed lips about their mission to State House, Abuja where they met behind closed doors with the President.

But it is not unlikely that they came to brief the President and get an inkling about what his mind was ahead of the pm meeting.

Thereafter, they joined up with the Jonah Jang faction at its secretariat in Maitama, Abuja in closed door session.

Interestingly the same 16 Governors in the breakaway faction: 14 Governors, 1 Deputy Governor and 1 Acting Governor were at this meeting

This is despite Governor Rotimi Amaechi's warning to Governor Jang to stop  impersonating him as Chairman of the Governors' Forum.

Governor Jang however defended the number of Governors that attended the meeting noting that only 12 Governors to form a quorum.
