Ogun Police Recovered 328 AK7 Ammunition, 26 AK47 Magazines


 Ogun Police Command  had recovered 328 AK7 ammunition, 26 AK47 magazines, seven locally made double barrel pump action guns, 20 live cartridges among others.   
   Speaking with newsmen the commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, Said that cutlasses, knives, charms and operating mask were also recovered from men of the underworld.
The commissioner revealed that the command had arrested three suspects in connection with the arms, while four other persons were arrested for allegedly vandalising a NITEL cable at Ifo.
The suspects, arrested with the arms and ammunition according to him were, Ugichukwu Anih, Ndubuisi Kingsley, Ismail Raman and Ayomide Adedoyin.
 While Balogun Abiodun, Lateef Muritala and Sheu Sulaiman were arrested for allegedly vandalising a NITEL cable.
``We arrested one of the suspects that lead to the arrest of others and recovery of the arm, for some reasons I will not say much on that for now, investigation is still on.
``The command will charge all the suspects to court accordingly as soon as investigation is concluded into the matters,
He attributed the successful recovery of the arms and arrest to synergy and corporation with members of the public, reiterating that the command would not relent in its efforts to collaborate with the public.

While charging the public to corporate and supply useful information to the police, he assured on the safety and identity of anyone who volunteered such information.
Okoye, thereafter, assured residents of Ogun to go about their normal duties without any fear, adding ``we are better equipped and battle ready to make save
