FCTA PROMISES AFFODABLE HOUSES FOR WORKERS

Minister of the FCT Senator, Bala Mohammed, has assured the organized labour that his administration remains committed to provision of affordable mass housing units for residents of the Territory.

Bala who was represented by  the Minister of State for the FCT, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide to spoke at the workers day rally held in Abuja

He stated that the administration was already working on some sites in the Area councils for provision of sustainable and affordable mass housing with a view to making the problem of  accommodation in the Territory a thing of the past.

.He noted that the expansion of the various entry points by the administration like the Mararaba Nyanya, Kubwa and the Yar’adua expressways from which a large number of the workforce troop to the city was being carried out successfully to reduce the challenges faced by workers.

The  Chairman, FCT chapter of the Trade Union Congress, TUC comrade Aliyu Abdulhakeem Musa  explained that presently the demand for accommodation by an increasing population was still high to the house available to the people.
