Bayelsa Government Urge Boko Haram to Emulate Adaka Boro


The Bayelsa State Government have urged the Boko Haram Sects to emulate the virtues of late Isaac Adaka Boro by employing dialogue in resolving their issues instead of carrying arms and killing innocent Nigerians.

The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Culture and Ijaw National Affairs Felix Tuodolor came out with this at a news conference to kickstart a weeklong programme to mark this year Isaac Boro Day.

Felix Tuodolor said during the days of Isaac Boro who fought for the liberation of the people of the Niger Delta innocent people were not massacred but the issues of the region were openly and widely communicated to the Nigeria Government.

The Commissioner for Culture and Ijaw National Affairs Felix Tuodolor who was the pioneer President of the Ijaw Youth Council IYC said this year's Isaac Boro Day celebration will witnessed youth procession in Port Harcourt,Warri and Yenagoa.

Tuodolor also said the Boro Day will be celebrated low key in the United States and the United Kingdom saying that the days of jamboree abroad in the name of Boro Day celebration are over.
