DAME PATIENCE JONATHAN MOURNS EX-IG, OKIRO’S WIFE



Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan has described the death of Mrs Hera Okiro, wife of the former Inspector-General of Police as a big loss to the nation.
 
Dame Jonathan stated this during the burial of Mrs Hera Amabibiba Okiro, wife of the former IGP, Mike Okiro at his country home, Egbema on Saturday.
 
First Lady stated that the death of Mrs Okiro has created a big vacuum in the Okiro’s family, describing her as a woman who laid a good foundation, for her family and assisted her husband to serve the nation meritoriously.
 
The President’s wife in her condolence message stated that Mrs Okiro lived an exemplary life and was kind-hearted to all.
 
Mrs Jonathan who was represented by the wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi, prayed for the repose of her soul and pray that God grants the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
 
Mrs Amaechi was accompanied by the wife of the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mrs Gilda Amaechree, Woman Leader, PDP, Madam, Justina Eneji among others.
