TENSION AS OYO NURTW RENEWS HOSTILITIES

Tension has enveloped Ibadan again, the Oyo State capital as a pocket of members of the state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers [NURTW] went wild and disrupted transport system in the city for over six hours and thereby caused workers and traders to get to their offices and markets late .

The renewed hostilities is coming barely a week that the activities of the motor union was unbanned by the Senator Abiola Ajimobi led government.

Fierce looking youths now take over motor packs around the state trying to gain control of their packs.

Yesterday two separate factions of the union engaged in a battle ready strategy as they kept vigil at motor packs which they hitherto controlled prior to the de-proscription of the union.

Our man gathered that the factions belonging to Lateef Akinsola a.k.a Tokyo is still beleived to have been more favoured by the Ajimobi government in the membership of the caretaker committee steering the activities of the while the faction of Mukaila Lamidi a.k.a Auxilliary

The two factions have therefore vowed to battle return to battle in order to control major packs in the state.

Supporters of each factions now keep vigil at motor packs with dangerous weapons being wielded while smoking Indian Hemp.

They caused traffic problem for commuters yesterday as they disembark passengers from boarded buses forcing them to be at the mercy of Okada riders who had higher patronage and charged exhorbitantly
