The Plateau state commissioner for Information, Yiljab Abraham, has confirmed that 3 people, including the suicide bomber, died in the blast while 41 others sustained injuries.

The wounded are receiving treatment at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, BUTH, and Plateau State Specialist Hospital, one of them remembered hearing a loud bang before the church collapsed.
Yiljab Abraham said the state government is saddened by the development which has constituted a setback to the plateau peace process.
Plateau state police commissioner, Emmanuel Ayeni, also conformed the incident.
The press came under attack from the angry mob who attacked any branded vehicle belonging to any media organization.
