The Defence Headquarters
says the current military offensive against Boko Haram insurgents in the
North-East has yielded successes.

Information, Major General Chris Olukolade who disclosed this when he accompanied
the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Air Staff on a routine visit to
Maiduguri said the military is operating in the Sambisa forests, in hills and
other forest to ensure the insurgents do not a camp to organise their crime.
He also said the attempted
attack on Giwa Barracks is Maiduguri is a sign of weakness on the sect as they
are aware that their time is up.
Major General Olukolade
said that the visit was to assess the troops operations in the campaign against
insurgency.
