Some shareholders of the
defunct Intercontinental Bank have asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to
direct the suspended CBN Governor, Lamido Sanusi to pay them ten billion naira
as damages for alleged fraudulent sale of the bank.
They accused him of
conniving with Aigboje Aig-Imokhuede, Herbert Wigwe and Senator Bukola Saraki to
sell the bank in a bid to confer on themselves corrupt advantage.
The plaintiffs urged the
court to order the CBN to recover thirty billion naira being owed the bank by Aig-Imokhuede,
Herbert Wigwe and Senator Saraki.
