The Senate has confirmed Godwin
Emefiele as the governor of the Central bank of Nigeria.
The nomination of Adebayo
Adelabu as Deputy Governor was also confirmed.
The nomination of Justice Zainab
Bulkachuwa as President of the Court of Appeal, was also confirmed by the Senate.
Godwin Emefiele, who is
currently the Managing Director of Zenith Bank promised to ensure economic
stability and a strong exchange rate to build up strong foreign reserves.
He is expected to resume
duty in June when the tenure of the suspended CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi expires.
