Senator Representing Plateau North senatorial Zone in the
National Assembly, Senator Gyang Pwajok has described the recent Judgement by
the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Jos that dismissed
the suit brought before it by a candidate of the Congress for Progressive
Change (CPC), Tony Agaga, challenging his October 6, 2012 election as a
victory over the attack on the peoples mandate.
He expressed deep concern on the undue sentiment and interest being expressed by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja, who had earlier ordered Senator Pwajok to stop parading himself as the senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District. The senator described the judge's refusal to sign his Judgement weeks after it was delivered as a sign of undue interest in the matter.
Senator Pwajok said his appeal should not be constrained by a lower court emphasizing that the undue interest in his case must stop forthwith.
