FG Demands Apology From Oby Ezekwesiri

The Federal Government has demanded an apology from former education Minister, Oby Ezekwesiri over allegation that the government of Umaru Yar Adua and Goodluck Jonathan had squandered over sixty seven Billion Dollars of Foreign Reserve and Excess Crude fund.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, who made the request in Abuja, accused the former World bank chief of intentionally distorting facts in her well publicized allegation.

Producing  documents on the country's Foriegn Reserve and Excess Crude fund from 2007 till date, the Presidential Aide argued that at no point between these years did the country's reserve was squandered.

He also explained that the country's reserve currently stand at Fourty five billion dollars as against fourth three billion dollars in may 2007 when former President Olusegun Obasanjo left office
