The Senate today unanimously confirmed the appointment of two new ministerial
nominees earlier forwarded to it by President Goodluck Jonathan.
The two nominees, Kabiru Turaki from Kebbi state and Prof. Chinedu Nebo from Enugu state were confirmed after scaling through screening hurdles on the floor of the senate.
Turaki who is a legal practitioner harpped on the need for effective collaborations and co-ordination among security agencies as a immediate solution to the problem of insecurity facing the country.
Also Prof. Nebo who was the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka used the major parts of the screening exercise to lecture the senate on the way out of electricity problems facing the country.
He also stressed the need to tackle the problem of the dwindling standard of education from primary school level to tertiary institutions by ensuring that qualified teachers are engage for teaching.
