Former Governor of Oyo State and
National leader of the Accord Party, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has declared that
the PDP will die by instalment in the state.
According to him, the political realignment and gains of the party are pointers that if elections are conducted Accord is certain of victory.
Apparently predicting instalmental of his former party PDP in the state, Ladoja noted that the inability of the party hierarchy to resolve internal wrangling will be the party' undoing adding that PDP is a party of deceit.
Ladoja who noted that the name of PDP has been changed to People Deceiving People (PDP) said happenings in the local and national leadership of the party has shown the people that it will be unwise to pitch their tenth with a deceitful party
He made the assertions Ladoja while receiving decampees from the Adebayo Akala faction and Jumoke Akinjide faction of the PDP and A C N decampees in Ajaawa Ogo-Oluwa local government declaring that the umbrella party is dead in Ogo-Oluwa local government.
The PDP-Akala faction was led by Pastor Emmanuel Adeoti a.k.a Osunti while Pa Gbadegesin Ajibade led the Jumoke Akinjide group group. Others were Hon Segun Bonvic who led the youth group including members of the okada riders also declared for Accord party. Mrs Ibrahim Aola who was A C N women leader and Madam Olabisi Adeniran from the PDP led their supporters into the thumb party.
'We have suffered under the PDP and we are scattered under the umbrella. We feel and trust in the Ladoja leadership in the Accord and we know that we can get the best within it and attract more development to the state'
Speaking to the decampees, Ladoja noted that Accord Party has grown to become the bride of people by offering the best form of participatory democracy not found in either PDP or A C N.
Ladoja who distanced himself as a godfather, said he offers as a leader is democratic and participatory democracy.
'In Accord, we don't impose candidates on the people may that is what some people do which causes disaffection in their fold. We listen and field candidates chosen by their people to contest. I am not a godfather. I hate godfatherism. We shall continue to receive more people throughout the state to open the doors of participation and deepen democracy'
He noted that there is no party receiving bribe like the PDP which is affecting them in resolving the crisis within the party
'I have not seen a party that prides in bribery like the PDP. That is why most internal wranglings within the party are far from been resolved. They will take bribe from all warring parties. We must provide the better alternative to our people through the Accord Party. They thought we were playing when we started but now they are even celebrating us. They said we were only interested in sending Akala away from office but we are focussed party'
Declaring that the PDP is dead in Ogo-oluwa and by extension, Ogbomoso Ladoja hinted that the direction of 2015 elections will give Accord Party the control of the state.
'We understand that you voted for your son during the last election when he was in government. But now that your son is not in government again, you need to invest in the future of your children by voting for our party. The PDP is dead here now in Ogo-Oluwa. You have been short-changed in the PDP. I am confident that if we go to vote again, it will be a different ball game.'
On the working agreement between him and Governor Ajimobi, Ladoja assured that his party was committed to ensuring the stability of the Ajimobi government and would leave the government when prompted by Governor Ajimobi
He however noted that with the Governor now in full control of his party, he expects full implementation of the gentleman agreements between then.
