An Abuja Federal High Court has ordered the removal of
former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, from office as the National Secretary of the PDP on the ground that a court judgement had nullified the South West zonal congress through which he was nominated.
In a suit was brought by the Ogun State Executive Committee of the PDP through its counsel, Amaechi Nwaiwu, SAN, the court held that Oyinlola’s continuos stay in the office as invalid, null and void since his candidacy had been nullified.
Two separate judgments of the Lagos Federal High Court, had nullified the South West zonal congress that produced Oyinlola as candidate of the zone for the office of the National Secretary of the party.
